Little did Shawn know that the day he sat in that chair to watch his father die, his grandfather saw his strength and wanted him as a one-time family hitman. His grandfather, still, to this day, wants him to take out the rising heroin dealer they find a threat to their control of the neighborhood's drug ring. But, Shawn knows his grandfather supplied his dad with the drug he needed to OD on, and still refuses to do the job for him. Shawn wants him to remain a part of his past, and will not allow his grandfather to visit with his niece. Shawn's wants are to no avail, and his grandfather refuses to accept no for an answer. He will sell nothing short, including his soul, for getting total control of the drugs circulating through his neighborhood. He's determined to get Shawn to be a one-time hitman for the family, and schemes to have Shawn's niece (which everyone in the family knows is really Shawn's biological child) knapped by the man they want dead. Because of the love Shawn has for this child, never wanting any harm to come to her heart, Never wanting her to have to sit and watch himself die, Shawn becomes very angry because his niece has been kidnapped, and goes on a rage to kill the man his grandfather wants dead, and who he now wants dead: The baddest drug dealer in the hood.
